A couple of things I have made lately.

First is the Halloween tree. It takes 17 baby food jars of the same size, 2.5 or 4 oz works best. Glue them all together with glass glue. And make sure you are in a well ventilated area, or your tree will turn out funny because you have gotten high off the fumes from the glue. It seriously stinks! I was by our back door the whole time (with it open, of course!) and our house stunk for several days like the glue. Punch holes in the lids, glue lids onto jars. Stuff lights into lids. Glue on base and any decorations you want on the tree. If you want a more detailed description on how to make it, go here.
It has orange lights in it, but the picture looked awful, so you are just going to have to use your imagination with what it looks like lit up.

And  this is the FREE diaper bag! Raiding moms stash of fabric, flowers and ribbon helped to make it free. I already had the interfacing, thread, Velcro, and elastic. It took about 4 hours to do, give or take an hour :)  The inside is a red gingham.

This is a front picture of the Starkiller costume I have agreed to make for Lot. We have bought the yards and yards and yards of fabric that we will need. Hopefully it will be enough as we were just guessing on what was needed. JoAnns had several coupons that we used, so for  having to buy 14 yards of fabric, I don't think we did to bad. Now I just need to have the thing finished by Oct 21st, as that is the date that the new Star Wars game comes out and Play N Trade is doing a midnight release and Lot wants to be dressed up for it.

Here is a back shot. These are not the best quality, but we could not find a good picture online, so Lot put the game in and I took a few pictures that way.

This is what she did at grandma's & grandpa's house this past week. Always went for this drawer and the baggies.

And this is what she does here, at least until I moved the contents of this drawer. Now it is lids.

She loves to empty out my purse.

Here is the only picture we got at the zoo yesterday. It was packed! But I guess that is what we get for going on a Satruday, while there is a community fest thingy going on and it was about 2 and it was Zoo Patron Appreciation Day, so admission was free.

Look! Kahel is holding her AND she is NOT crying!!! He can't seem to go near her without Chloe crying, so to actually hold her with no crying, it is an improvement.

How many days until Christmas?

The kids and I have been at my parents house while they have gone on a 30th anniversary cruise. Lot has been going back and forth, but for the next few days, we are all home so that Drake can go to pre-school. We will go back on Thursday to see if my sisters have killed each other yet.

I have a TON of sewing projects to do: Lot's Starkiller (main character on several Star Wars games) costume  for Halloween, a bigger daiper bag for Chloe (found the cutest pattern and material) and several Christmas presents for our kids and for a niece and nephews. I think I am going to be busy sewing right up to Christmas Eve.  I can only tell you about the ones that are getting done for our kids, since they can't read yet. I am making all of us an embroidered towel and the kids' will have hoods on them. I am also going to make all of us some pj pants. There is a matching game I am going to make for Chloe that involves cupcakes and a fishing game for Drake. And then I am going to make them each their own I-Spy bags.

In between all of these projects, I also need to stop a lot and pull Chloe away from things and help her up and kiss smashed fingers better and otherwise try to clean up after that which is Hurricane Chloe.

What a day...

On Thursday we went to the fair and those of you that are in the area know what kind of day that was. For those of you that aren't around here, well, it was raining and cold and windy and the high was like 56. Needless to say we did not stay for very long. We saw the animals, ate some food (shared one of those burgers with the donut bun; it was actually pretty good) and Lot saw several people he hasn't seen for a while including a few high school friends and a guy from his mission. We can't go anywhere without him running into someone he knows.
On to the pictures for Ammon and Zenock. Sorry guys, there aren't too many.
A little blurry, but still cute. She had on the hat and gloves and a jacket a two blankets on her and she still got cold.
This is the pig that Drake wanted to take a picture of, so I did.
A big horse.
I know you can't tell, but it was a HUGE horse. It was a draft horse, I think.
A little horse.
Can ya tell Drake didn't want to be in the picture?
And some big cows.

Preschool!

Drake starts preschool tomorrow! YAY! He will go twice a week for 3 hours each day. I can't wait! I sure hope they are ready for him! Hmm. I better get off the computer and go wash his clothes so he has something to wear tomorrow.

What we have been up to, Warning: Many pictures ahead.

Chloe started crawling on Wednesday, September 1, 2010.
She loves her food. I have to get 2 spoons when I feed her; she has to feed herself with the other one.
Instead of finishing dinner, she thought it would be fun to pull her shirt off.
This box kept him entertained for a couple of hours.
If we have ice cream, it is a capital offense if we do not share with her.
I guess I did not get the lid on her treats all the way. It was full and she spilled the whole thing.  Quite proud of it, too.
This was before she could crawl. She could go backwards really well on her butt and got stuck under the train table. She was not very happy.
What a goofy goober! Drake loves to pose with Chloe. She doesn't like it so much.
So much easier giving them baths at the same time.
Here she is standing. She pulls herself up on everything! Chloe also cruises, now. Getting really good at it, too.
Standing again. I think her favorite place to stand is by the train table.
Drake got hungry while I was making lunch and grabbed the cottage cheese from the fridge and decided to eat it straight from the container. He finished it off on Saturday when we made lasagna.
We went to visit Abby & Kalina and before dinner we found him in the basement, asleep. I guess even watching Kalina play the WALLE game wasn't enough to keep him awake. By the way, he NEVER falls asleep at grandma & grandpas. He is always running around and doesn't sleep until we go home. That is why we try to leave later and take pajamas with us.
Here is the goose egg Chloe got falling down the stairs. It looked worse on that first day than it does now. I think she was more scared than hurt.
And here is a blurry closeup. Sorry about that, but you try to take a closeup of a kid than never stops moving. It is hard, especially when Drake is distracting her and she is going for the camera strap.

I hope you like pictures, because here are more!

These are from the 2nd session on the Temple grounds.
These are the from the second session at the Temple.

Family Pictures

He was kinda mad here.
On our way back to the car, he got on the swings.
We had someone in our ward take new family pictures for us. She was great and cheap. We had to do it in 2 sessions because Chloe decided that the ONE time that I did not bring any diapers or babywipes, she had to poop out her shorts. We went to Freeman Park for the first session and the Temple grounds for the second.
